We’ve had Sir Captain Tom, hand sanitiser and pasta shortages. The nation locked down and rose up to the challenges before it. Reconnections with neighbours and bad Wi-Fi connections on Teams, with echoes of ‘You’re on mute’ and ‘Can you see my screen?’ heard across the nation. But the time has come to reflect on our joint successes.
The team at Purechannels would like to take this time to say an enormous Thank You to our clients, vendors, partners, colleagues and families for all their support this year.
Through their dedicated encouragement, we have been able to deliver more invaluable results, deploy more partner portals, launch more partner programmes and carry out more campaigns than ever before.
Early on, we decided to refrain from award submissions for the year, instead we dedicated our time and budget to ensuring our service levels and focus on excellence for our clients was uninterrupted. At the same time, our leadership team was independently recognised with CEO, Glenn Robertson, appearing in CRN’s A-list again, and being welcomed onto Impartner’s Channel Chief Advisory Board. In addition, our CMO was honoured by becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Purechannels, naturally, believes in the importance of partnerships – it’s in our DNA! We are therefore delighted to have added several new PRM/Portal/Platform partners including Impartner, Zift, Channel Mechanics, Zinfi and Allbound, widening our portfolio of service. When we launched a global partner portal for one client, the project lead said:
“I have never in my career worked with an agency as wonderful as Purechannels, as a team we talk about how amazing they are." - that’s the kind of feedback we get out of bed for!
But it's not just these partnerships we can be proud of. In a year of great unrest in our private and professional lives – Purechannels takes great pride in being able to say that we did not cut hours, make redundancies, or take part in the national furlough scheme. In fact, quite the opposite. We have almost doubled in size over the past 8 months. This solid growth and a strong forecast for 2021 means we have more resource and wider capability to support a growing number of clients and projects.
We have also given back to the IT channel, producing and sharing content like never before. In March we launched our channel news aggregation platform Nuzoo – The Channel News Hub, which gathers articles from media organisations and publications all around the world, displaying them on one simple dashboard. Glenn also unveiled The Channel Drop-In podcast series and featured in numerous webinars, podcasts and thought leadership articles.
So what else?
Summer: This year we decided not to gift client presents or cards for Christmas, instead we have donated to a local charity, Charity for Kids, in support of their current campaign to raise funds for Summer, a local 8-year-old girl who lives with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. The Future of MDF: In this revealing, original paper, Purechannels review the situation and propose a valid consideration for the Future of MDF, which will change the future of partner funding and the results it achieves – for everyone. ‘But wait!’ we hear some of you cry. ‘We’ve been running MDF initiatives with our partners for years!
